Hi everyone,

Look what got returned after being hardened.

That is the die for this year's plate. Don't panic because it looks backwards, that is how it works.

Ron R and Merle M putting the die set back together after putting the new die and punch in.

Then the die set went back into the press.

Two strips ready to go through the trim die. I didn't get any pictures of the trimming because I was running the press.

Final product for this year. After this short run, the punch was taken back out so it can get sent off to be hardened. We usually don't harden the punch until after proofing the plate. That makes it much easier to grind certain parts off the punch if needed to get a good image.

When the punch get back, we will pick a date and make plates.

Great looking plate!!! I'm excited to add it to the collection

Hi everyone,

As a lot of you probably know, all the plates sold out at the show this year. Some folks paid for a plate and shipping with the promise we would make some more and send them out.

Saturday, 8 October, a crew gathered to make plates for those folks.

From left to right. Merle M is running the forming die. In the back ground, Austin W is taking the plates out of the trim die. Cody W is sitting on the stool and sanding the bur off the back of the trimmed plates. Nearly out of sight Dan K is running the trim die. Cassidy W is doing quality control. Brekke K is applying some lube on the strip of formed plates.

Back behind the presses. Clint A is ready to feed another strip into the forming die. Austin W has his back to us taking the trimed plates out of the trim die. Dan K is on the far side of the trim die feeding the strip and running the press.

Marcie W and Amanda K are putting the finished plates in the bags and then into mailing envelopes.
There were a couple more of us that kept out of camera range and carried things back and forth.

The postage for all the packages got put on the packages this evening. The plates will be in the mail some time tomorrow.
