Amazon.com shoppers

Thanks @crystalaakre for getting this set up. Super simple way to make a little more revenue for the show! One thing to note if it still works the same as when i set it up for the museum i work with is that you have to go to smile.amazon.com for it to donate the funds. Going to amazon.com doesn't add to the contributions. I could be wrong but about a year ago that's how it was i know

Yep, you are correct Craig. If you are signed in to your account, it will look the same and transfer items in your cart over but you HAVE to complete your order at smile.amazon.com. If you click on the link I posted, it will remember that you donate to that charity every time you sign in, but you do need to complete your order on smile.amazon.com.

$12.41 donation from the AmazonSmile Foundation as a result of AmazonSmile program activity between January 1 and March 31, 2019. The donation was deposited to your organization's bank account around May 8, 2019.

Considering we only spread that through word of mouth since the spring meeting - that's pretty dang good!

Just an update:
$40.75 donation from the AmazonSmile Foundation as a result of AmazonSmile program activity between Oct 1 and Dec 31, 2019. The donation was deposited to your organization's bank account on or before February 21, 2020.

So far we have earned $106.30 since we launched Amazon Smile last March. This may not seem like a lot, but that is just a sliver of all purchases from the 48 amazon customers supporting Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion.

If you are a frequent Amazon shopper, all you need to do is make sure you are signed it at our Amazon smile link when you make your purchase: https://smile.amazon.com/ch/23-7418831

If you have amazon on several devices like I do, your cart will transfer over from the regular amazon.com app or website. You just have to make sure you are on the link above when you check out. Hope that helps. Tell your friends. :bannana:

Katy and I toured an Amazon distribution facility with Vern recently when we were in Arizona. That place was amazing and I could not believe how disorganization and pure chaos works (insanely efficiently) for them. They talked a lot during our tour about the smile program and encouraged everyone in our group to use it.

I don't buy a lot from Amazon... but when I do in the future I will name WMSTR as a smile donation. It's a great program and costs nothing for the Amazon user.

Good work Crystal!

No... security is very prevalent there. If they caught you with you cell phone out of your pocket you would be escorted out. Women’s purses were locked in lockers at the entrance. The photo I posted was the only one allowed and a tour guide took it.

Headsets were so we could hear the lead tour guide. We were in a group of about 30 and it was noisy in the facility.

You're welcome Crystal... Trivia question! Does anyone know the significance of the "smile" in every Amazon box?
