150 Case pulling Clayton?

Thats pretty cool! I had heard about it but was not there to see it.

I guess SD Jon (Driving Claytons KB11) could not get traction in the loose ground.

What's funny is it looks like Klinger was there to attempt the same with his M Farmall.

Clayton will be along soon to tell us that his KB11 was pushing the 150 up the hill with a welded chain, so glad I could set the record straight before there was some confusion!

So Clayton used poor Jon as a guinea pig. I was really surprised by how quiet this was especially with the operator of that M Farmall involved.

This is what happens when you bring a rubber tire piece of equipment to a show that mainly has steel wheeled equipment that pulverizes the parade route. I did put in a budget request to have the parade route paved, but after looking at all the budget requests, it must have gotten thrown out. :biglaugh:

Clayton,

Please don't give up and go away because your request got shot down. Some of the best requests somehow don't make the cut. The request to run the Pabst Engine through the parade for the first Allis Expo was shot down.:(...

Later,
Jerry Christiansen

Jerry is right just because a budget item is shot down don't give up. They say try again next year or seek a donor to make it happen.

Back when the Railroad got their turntable, wasn't it also then the Pabst Engine crew that had a budget request for an 8-track tape player? Or was that another group? I don't think that has been approved yet.

It might be kind of hard to find one of those anymore in working condition. I still have 4- 8 track tapes! Used to have to shove matchbooks in underneath them in my deck in my pickup to get them to track right!

I can still listen to the song by 70's rock group "Boston" off of their debut album called "Hitch A Ride" and know EXACTLY the spot where the music would fade, player would "clunk" to change from track 3 to 4, and the music would come back up! Crazy memories!

Now my whole music library, over 1000 songs is on my phone!

Sorry for derailing this otherwise awesome thread! Love the memories!
