G'day all;
We also have a smaller working Broderick here in Montana currently under going inspection. Does the Big Montana (Broderick) at WMSTR have a big manhole (manway) inspection plate on top of the barrel? If so does one unscrew the studs from the big clam in order to remove it.

Thanks much for lookin'

Rick,

I am sure it does have a top man way because I have seen pictures of Harlan sticking his head out of it when they put new flues in it. I could not find the picture and do not remember the mechanism that secures it. I will try and get a picture of it this weekend.

Thanks Rick!!
We went down yesterday and took another look. It looks like the ~1" dia. studs were cast into the manway clam. So I have no idea on how to remove it. Bottom line, we can slide it to one side or the other to clean the sealing surfaces, so no big deal.

Thanks again for the reply,
RickinMt.
