Water should be on to most of the show grounds this Saturday May 13.
As always if you need water before this you can get it at the well by the Administration building.

Hi Vern,

Thanks for the update. Thanks for the work you have done and are doing to get a better idea of how the plumbing runs through the grounds. See you Friday evening.

Jerry Christiansen

Thank you and I hope you had enough help and that everything went well.
Did your main helper Bella do a good job.

Thank you for your dedication to make sure we have a place to refresh after a day on the hill. There were no issues in Ok . Great to see you and your furry friend Bella.

What's the scheduled date for blow-down this year? Sep 30th? I'd like to come out for that.

Hi all,

Shall we plan on a potluck for dinner on Saturday? Or shall we all plan on bringing our own baloney sandwich?

If others want to do a potluck, Jane said she will make a roaster of potato soup.

Later,
Jerry Christiansen

By the way, dinner is at noon. Lunch occurs about 9:00am and at 3:00pm and usually involes coffee and cookies.

Something to eat at some time will be served... towards the end of the project. Not sure what time and I don't want to call it anything of fear of getting it wrong :Shrugs:

Katy is making a batch of BBQ and I will bring some buns. If Jane wanted to bring some soup, that would fit right in! I am not sure who is charged with anything else. Could probably use some chips of some kind. Maybe a pickle or two in case anyone wants one on their BBQ, or in their soup? Maybe some kind of desert would be good.

Perhaps Vern will chime in here and let us know if there is anything else needed.

Hi All,

Blowing out the water lines is usually not a great day. It means the end of the season and snow is on the way. Turning the water on is usually a lot happier day.

After saying that, what a great day on the Hill! The weather was pretty good, we had a good crew and good food was served at noon.

Clint A, Rick W and I started in the Assumption Food Stand. After we got that finished Vern N asked us to follow a water line that feeds part of the center of the grounds and ends up in Snob Hill and OK Corral camp gound. James P and Al S joined in on that part. We hooked up with Vern near the Buttzville bathroom, then we went on to Lutefisk campground.

I didn't mention many parts of the grounds, other crews were covering them.

I guess we won't learn how well we did until next spring when we turn the water back on.

Jerry, I don't much care whether we're fixing the roof of an excrement house, watering trees, or blowing down water lines, I really enjoy your company. It's productive. Research remains to be done, but I'm wondering if that drain-circling conversation might have been the entrance to a gold mine;)

Rick,

I will have to leave the development of the drain-ciercler to people like you, Clint and James. I beleive that needs a younger group people to develop the idea. It the circler flies, it needs a thread of its own . . . . .

You guys got me wondering what the heck all of the "Drain-Circling" is all about. Guess one had to be there to get the whole drift.

My crew, Justin M and my daughter and son-in-law Amber and Art worked in the expo area, visitors campground and lower and upper lutefisk showers. I have done this area for many years and prefer to stick to what I know!

We did have a lot of new faces this year and that was appreciated! The more who know this process (Developed by Vern!) the more we have to take over when we are old and tired (Soon!).

Cannot go without thanking Katy and Jane for the very good lunch! I know others brought things in, and nobody went hungry... But those 2 ladies put it all together for us and made sure we all had a good meal!

Wasn't the Butzville lift station special o_O

I wasn't with the first group that showed up, that must have been fun! Do you think James will come back?

Mark, the drain circler has a name: Aquemon Blo...

...the PeakAchooChoo will live in the Buttzville lift station...
