The RRs fund raiser to give a Gloden Spike for a donation of funds for a new tie. Could someone representing the RR please post a picture of what it will look like? I hope that it is better then the ribbon recieved for a donation to the Foundation, Would be nice if it was like the pin for the Rollag 200 Club, this is to far back in history for most but was for the funding of the Yellow nelson building ( the building with the low roof):Shrugs::Shrugs:
 
It was a fund raiser to build the Nelson building on the parade route.
 
Vern is right a fund raiser for the Nelson building, this was in the 1980's. was it a success I think so. I Have the Pin but with my life in a state of confusion can't seem to find it. The pin was of a steam engine with rollag 200 club printed on it. NOT a button but a very attrective lapel pin. Also a very attrective plaque came with this donation. I know this gives my age away but someone else must have one of the pins and can post a photo of it.

This is not the only donation program I have particapated in but the only one where one got what they were told one would get!!!!!!

I ve got faith in the RR so they will get a check when my welfare check comes in!!!!!!!

I would like to comment about the golden Spike program.

It is a win win situation in so many ways ,our exsistance relys so much on revenue, and the RR does bring the people in.

With that said lets all buy a tie or more and may be they can get donations for all 200 ties they have ordered.
