More concrete!

The last weekend of July, a crew did their best to reduce the grass cutting chore on the hill!

An addition to the General Store storage area was first on the list. It might be small, but will add some much needed room for inventory in the building.

Here, Phil P hauls the first load of mud from the redi-mix truck to the site while Louie L, Bob C, Doyle Q, and myself move concrete to where it belongs. Jim S took the pictures for me.

Doyle Q running the recently donated WMSTR power screed. This tool sure beats the old 2 X 4 method!

After Doyle got done with the bull float.

A little further NW, another building is going up. The "Sandbox Litterbox" is a new bathroom going up in the construction area.

The same crew was involved in this pour as well. This time Louie and I took pictures while Jim S helped with the pour and did some finishing work. The man in the safety vest is the redi-mix truck driver. I am not sure what his name is, but he is a heck of a nice guy! He is always very patient and even helps out where he can. He has been out to the grounds a couple of times this season.

Doyle does this kind of work for a living, and it shows! From the looks of it, water will run down the floor drains in the bathroom floor, instead of away from them!

The new bathroom is being build largely to make better use of a large holding tank we had to put in for a sink in the "Sandbox Lunchbox" (old fry bread stand) that we had to put a hand wash sink in. The bathroom will only be one facility for each gender, but will be handicap accessible (thanks to the help of Keith B) and will feature flush toilets! Louie L and Bob C are project champions on this one.
